Among the publications which have appeared so far on the life and activities of Cardinal A. S. Sapieha, special attention should be paid to: the two volumes Księgi Sapieżyńskie (the Sapieżyński Books), edited by Jerzy Wolny in collaboration with Roman Zawadzki (Volume I was published in 1982, Volume II in 1986), Książę Niezłomny (Prince the Unshaken). Kardynał Adam Stefan Sapieha, edited by Roman Bogacz (published in 2001), Bolesław Przybyszewski, Adam Stefan Kardynał Sapieha. Pasterz Dobry– Książę Niezłomny (The Good Shepherd – The Unshaken Prince) 1867-1951 (published in 2002), and the source edition in part devoted to this figure W obronie Ojczyzny i Kościoła. Komunistyczna bezpieka wobec biskupów polskich (In Defence of the Fatherland and the Church. Communist security against Polish bishops), edited by Józef Marecki and Filip Musiał (published in 2009). These publications are based on reliable research, however, they use only a small part of the available source materials.
